Rumeli Mukherjee is a PhD Research Scholar in English Literature at the Institute of Language Studies and Research (ILSR), Kolkata. Her areas of research includes Environmental Humanities, Posthumanism, Mythology and South Asian studies. She completed her B.A. in English (Hons.) from B.B. College, Asansol (K.N.U.) in 2018 and stood first class first in her department. She was the topper (distinction) in her department in M.A. English at Kazi Nazrul University in 2020. She also qualified NTA NET in 2020. She has presented her papers in several conferences like IIT KGP etc.
