Alekhya Mandal



Alekhya Mandal is Project Fellow for British Library-Endangered Archives Programme (EAP1546) at Institute of Language Studies and Research, Kolkata. He completed his MA from Department of English, Ramakrishna Mission Residential College (Autonomous), Narendrapur, Kolkata, securing the first-class-first position in 2022; and in the same year he was also part of the four-month course on translation offered by the Department. From March to July 2023, he participated in the course on Digital Humanities and Cultural Informatics at School of Cultural Texts and Records, Jadavpur University. His essay 'Cultures of Silence and Cultures of Violence: A Comparative Analysis of Later Poems of Sujata Bhatt' was anthologized in South-Asian Women's Narratives: Literatures of their Own, edited by Bidhu Chand Murmu and Somjeeta Pandey and published by Cambridge Scholars in 2023. He was the editorial assistant of The Incandescent Classroom: Essays in Honour of Professor Satyaki Pal, published by Department of English, Ramakrishna Mission Autonomous College (Autonomous) in 2023. His research interest includes digital humanities and digital history, modern Buddhism, environmental humanities, and print cultures.
