Dr. Amitava Das is currently holding the position of a Professor in the Institute for Language Studies and Research (ILSR) - a Research Institute in Kolkata, under the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.
Dr. Das has over 20 years of research and teaching experience across multiple disciplines, in several renowned Universities in West Bengal.
He has been holding various Academic positions in Burdwan University, Jadavpur University & Vidyasagar University in his previous stint as an Academician. As a Coordinator, he has also served the Centre of Advanced Study (Phase-III) in the Department of Bengali, Burdwan University.
Dr. Amitava Das is well known for his research works in Narratology, Stylistics as well as Linguistic shift. Following up on his critically acclaimed research works he has written several books in his fields and has earned recognition through various literary and cultural awards.
